⚡ Important Concepts

Voltage Drop Across Resistance: The green electrons carry electrical pressure (voltage). As current passes through the resistance, that pressure is dropped across the resistor — the yellow output electrons carry no remaining voltage pressure. The voltage has been consumed by the resistance.

Current Is the Same at All Points: The amperage flowing into this circuit is the same amperage flowing out of it and returning to the source. Current does not get "used up" — only voltage pressure is dropped.

Circuit Type: This is a basic single-load series circuit. In a series circuit, there is only one path for current to flow, and the same current passes through every component.
